It's the cornerstone of music, dance, poetry, and even part of our speech: Rhythm.
Join us over the summer and 'tap' into this primal part of music and culture. Students of ages 8-13 can quickly improve their understanding and knowledge of rhythm in this dedicated program.
Bring whatever instruments you have, we'll supply the rest. With a drum circle to set the mood (being the vehicle), Summer Beat encourages you to have fun with basic rhythms that are found in music from all over the world and then build upon that knowledge, stepping up to more complex patterns.
In addition to the drum circle, we include outdoor playtime, crafts, as well, we will also instruct you on the basics of song-writing and introduce you to working with garage band. A week packed with lots of fun and skills you can be sure to draw upon in the future. Sign up today for your early bird discount.
