Left floating in a sea of fragile angst you sense a tipping point. You are witness to a short fuse burning. Feet submerged but your head is dry. Serpentine in its delivery there is an unexpected fluency. You sense the struggle of sweaty palms moving up the neck, anticipating the fall, only to be rewarded by your own self awareness. To simply define Crooked Spies is difficult, but the feeling they instill from the whimsical lyricism, soaring melodies and displays of ferocious elegance will leave you with the taste of new beginnings. A fresh take on rock n roll for the wandering soul. This is honest music.
An eclectic bag of influences is what truly adheres to the name Crooked. With songs that peer into the soul of classic rock and possess the political prowess of punk, it is the bond of brothers rooted in blues that holds it all together. The message is a clear and simple one from the gents of Crooked Spies. Make music that is true to itself and have as much fun as possible doing it. — facebook.com/crookedspies/

Scratch Buffalo is an indie rock ’n’ roll trio that plays lean, loose, blues-heavy rock ‘n’ roll. Founded by Chris Naish in 2014, Scratch Buffalo’s sound is often compared to The White Stripes and The Stooges.
Chris began his career as a solo singer-songwriter. He released his first EP, “Dog in Bombay,” in 2006. Beatroute selected the album as one of Calgary’s finest that year. Radio and press features soon followed, leading the Calgary Herald to dub Chris a “lo-fi success.” -http://scratchbuffalo.com/
