As more and more Yoga Studios add Yin Yoga to their schedule, the demand for Trained Yin Yoga Teachers is ever increasing.
Over the course of the 15 Hour weekend, you will learn the Elements & Fundamentals of a Yin Yoga Practice, along with Modifications & the Sequencing of a Yin Yoga Class. Mindfulness & The Meridians in Yin Yoga will also be discussed.
This Yin Intensive TT with Alan Mileham, focuses on establishing a strong foundation from which participants that attend the Yin TT are able to apply to teach Yin Yoga to their students. In my experience a strong foundation is the key to any Yoga Practice.
We will spend time on the three main benefits or principles of Yin Yoga, the Physical, Mental/Mindfulness & Energetics. You will learn the differences between Yang & Yin Yoga as it relates to Yang & Yin Tissues in the body. Different types of tissues require different modalities of exercise. This Yin TT is a blend of all of the Yin Yoga TT'S that I've taken.
Alan Mileham is an Experienced Senior Yoga Teacher who has been teaching Yoga in Calgary since 2001. He has in access of 3000 Training Hours, and has taken many Yoga Trainings both locally and internationally. Alan is known for his detailed level of instruction, approachability, sense of humour & his non-intimidating teaching style.
Alan is also a Highly Trained Yin Yoga Teacher, his trainings include, trainings with Bernie Clark, Joe Barnett, Paul Grilley, Carly Forest & Sarah Powers. He has furthered his Meditation/Mindfulness trainings with Bernie Clark & Nathalie Keiller, and completed a Corporate Based Mindfulness Training (CBMT) with the Potential Project of Calgary. Alan looks forward to sharing his knowledge of Yin Yoga with you!
